CHAPTER I Killing Spree
He carefully aims and releases the stone, it flys through the air and just misses Tammy’s head. It hits the decaying white birch tree inches from the side of her face. The stone striking the tree makes a very hollow and dull sound. Tammy winces at the thought of the stone hitting her head.
Tammy pulls her rifle up and aims toward the darkness Thankfully her Dad was a skilled sniper and her Mom was in the secret service. She has been trained all through her life and now is the time to use some of that training to save her friends
Everyone knows Tammy knows how to shot she is a highly skilled hunter. Every dear season she provides the meat for her friends and family. Sometimes she shots one or 2 extra but its her land and she feels she can do what she wants. Plus nobody complains when they are getting free food.
Tammy puts the rifle down and looks back toward her friends and puts her finger up to her lips to hush them - She thinks she heard the sound of the rubber band hitting the wood of the slingshot as the stone was being released. She needs her friends to stop talking so she can concentrate.
She looks again toward the direction of the sound Its very hard to see anything with the darkness and fog but right by the sound through her squinting eyes she can barely see the figure in the darkness. Tammy pulls the rifle up and looks in the cross hairs of her night vision scope to have a better look– She sees him clearly that he has a slingshot and hes about to shoot it again.
Tammy inhales and slowly pulls the trigger back.
He again pulls back another black stone his fingers tightly griping the stone in its leather hood. He pulls stretching the rubber as far as it will go. Typically a slingshot is a harmless childs toy. In the hands of a phychopath it becomes a deadly weapon.
This Psychopath has a partner and she sees that Blondie has a rifle and its pulled up looking at them and ready to shoot. She falls to the ground knowing she is about to be seen or even worst shot with a bullet. She try's to pull him down with her. She doesn't want anything to happen to him. He brushes her off and he stays standing there. Get down here with me she nervously says. He says to her with a smirk let me get one more off then ill come down there with you – I wanna see the brain matter – I wanna here a scream - I need a psychotic break from reality.
I think I got him in my sites Tammy says with a whisper to her muscular jock friend Preston. Preston was a wide reciever on his college football team. He almost made it to the Steelers but they picked Hines Ward instead. This is something he has to always bring up everytime they watch the games together. Tammy is peering through her scope cunningly. She is with a group of her closet friends - They are on a camping trip together, drunk and hunting for who is to blame for catching their car on fire, hurting Amber and interupting their strip poker game. They want revenge.

KABOOM
Tammy fires a shot – the bullet slices through the air and hits the man in his shoulder. He grabs his shoulder and winces in pain. Blood squirts through the big hole and through his fingers. He instantly falls to his knees beside his partner. He somehow was able to release his next shot. The stone flies through air and hits Preston in the chest. He bends over and starts coughing up blood wincing.
Tammy shouts at her friends, FUCK THIS SHIT lets get him I wounded the bastard. Tammy holds her rifle up and fires one more time while they run toward them freeze you mother fucker she says with her adrenaline all pumped to the max . Tammy’s last shot hit his knee and blew it out. He is unable to move - He locks eyes with his partner and says go - Get out of here - find me and save me when you can. Save yourself. NOW
He tries to get on his feet but his shoulder gives out so he collapses on himself. He tries a couple times before they are all around him. Kick him Tammy yells and they all start kicking him. He is in the middle of the circle getting kicked all over. Tammy hits him in the head with the stock of her rifle. Blood spurts out of his nose - Teeth get knocked loose - eyes puff and bruise up. The only thing he can do is take it.
Only about 3 feet ahead is his escape route. Its an entrance to a buried tunnel – merely a hole in the ground covered with branches and dead leaves to hide it's opening. The tunnel channels around the cabin and throughout the woods. The couple has been digging for the last few years and this is where they have been living. This is where they survive the cold winters together.
She turns to see them kicking him. He has been everything to her for the past few years. She can't handle seeing this - seeing him being trampled and beaten like this. She has been alone all her life but the last few years her life has been with him. They learned together how to survive the winters – They talked a lot and seemed to be healing all their pain from their pasts. This was supposed to be their time to abuse - to get back - to get even– Their time to play
Preston says stop and scoops him up like a rag-doll and throws him down. He lands with a big thud.
A tear runs down her face - She has only once felt this angry and alone before and she doesn't want to go back to that. He has also felt abuse like this and he doesn't want go back to that life eithor.
